Ferndale, Michigan – Credit Union ONE staff from Traverse City worked the Sunday November 4th Goodwill of Northern Michigan Empty Bowl project. The eight employees worked as a team along with 60 other volunteers and staff to serve over 620 meals for the day. Auction items also helped to raise funds for the project. Money raised goes directly back into the organization.
Val Stone, Food Rescue Coordinator stated that “ final totals will come out when all the auction items are picked up, but I can tell you – the Food Rescue trucks will be rolling and picking up food for our needy neighbors.”
“ My whole staff volunteered and took a shift working the day, and it was a great effort by all “ said Michelle Kilinski Branch Manager in Traverse City. “ We had a good time, and it was nice to do something positive in our community that helps so many that are in need.”
