Ferndale, Michigan – On Thursday and Friday December 7th and 8th 2017, Credit Union ONE Partnered with the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, as a Medical Moment Sponsor along with Employees answering calls for the 18th Annual Radiothon. To start out the fundraising before the two event, Employees sold candy bars and raised over $1,500 dollars.
Radio Station STAR 105.7, B93.7 and “The Moose 107MUS Broadcast the two day event to raise funds to support the Center for Child Protection, The Pediatric Oncology Resource Team, The Gerber Foundation along with many more service areas.The Goal was to raise over $200,000 with over 1,000 pledges needed. For the two day event this year, over $330,000 was raised by the 300 volunteers taking over 1,500 calls from donors.
Every year this Radiothon gets bigger and better as it continues to reach out to a very giving community. “ We enjoy helping at the Radiothon each year, and by also being a corporate sponsor for the event” said Sharon Blower, Regional Manager. “ The Radiothon really helps the Kids and many different programs at the Hospital”.
